Canada consigns exports almost exclusively to the US

Canada has long fought to solve its dependence on the US in foreign trade. However, the link between trade relations had not diminished in the past 5 years. Now the emerging uncertainty with US trade policy and the concluded trade agreement between Canada and the EU (CETA) offers the opportunity to reverse this trend. Among other thing, German food and electronics manufacturers could benefit from the trade agreement.

Meet Germany's new Ambassador to Canada

We are excited to welcome our new Ambassador, Ms. Sabine Sparwasser, to Canada. Many members of the Toronto  German community will remember Ms. Sparwasser as the former Consul General to Toronto, residing from 2009 till 2013. She also served as Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, where Ambassador Sparwasser stepped up Germany’s diplomatic engagement within the region and explored ways to enhance stability there.
Welcome back to Canada, Madame Ambassador!
